Can we have a simple indicator that if a pack belongs to an expansion or not? For example, "The Isle of Dread" would be "The Isle of Dread (Exp)" or something else. ⇒ Targal (Contribs • Message) 01:53, March 14, 2023 (EDT)

  • This might be a good idea, but I'm not sure your particular suggestion would work, because DPL takes parameters directly from another template (T:Quest in this case), so we'd have to change the "adventure pack" parameter on the quests which would mess up categorisation elsewhere.   • This can not be done with the current set up. If this is something a majority would like, we could probably repurpose the {{{free|}}} to be a {{#switch:...}} to allow multiple responses instead of an {{#ifeq:...}} making it a boolean. Then, the choices could be |free=Yes for free for all, |free=VIP for free for VIP (adpacks), and |free=No for not free for any (expansions).     • I think that would work, but {{{free}}} seems to be a bad name for the flag, because being VIP isn't free at all. I mean it's difficult to be boolean. maybe |access_by=free (or no), |access_by=vip and |access_by=exp? ⇒ Targal (Contribs • Message) 22:42, March 14, 2023 (EDT)

      • It's not about VIP being free, it's about the quest being free. Adventure packs are free to VIPs. If we add a new parameter instead of modify the existing one, we'll have to go through and add it to every quest page and it'll affect historical page versions. By using the existing parameter as I proposed, the historical versions will be unaffected and it'll be easy to have the bot go through all the adpack pages and change |free=no or |free= to |free=VIP. some things are wrong. It's an imageimage.png that my guildie reported to me personally - it is highlitened as red (the borderland one).
