Tips and Misc

This quest's critical path is entirely linear. There will be one direction you can go at any one time; everywhere else will be blocked by locked doors.
The optionals are all behind the same secret door above the first ladder (Secret door DCs.)
- The Collaborator is behind a second secret door above the hole.
- The Guards are at the bottom of the hole, guarding a treasure chest.
- The "Explore the passageway optional" is automatically awarded for reaching the bottom of the hole.
After freeing the second lot of captives, you are confronted by the evil druid Khikoa, who drops you into a slide leading to an arena with the Triceratops Crimsonfoot in. You must fight the dinosaur and then the Druid.
- This dropdown is a point of no return without Dimension Door, so make sure to do the optional if you want to. If you get into Khikoa's fight by accident, you can avoid the dropdown by pulling the last enemy in the room into the corridor outside.
- If you hug the left wall and jump at the end of the slide, you may land on a ledge on the arena wall, from which only Khikoa can attack you. This is an excellent vantage point for a ranged character.
Once the battle is done, "talk" to Crimsonfoot, who will smash down the wooden gate and allow you to leave the quest.
