Altar of Insanity

The Altar of Insanity is the Crafting device found in Hall of the Planes in the Tower of the Twelve. Once you enter the tower, head south. The entrance is represented on the map by a purple icon and is labeled "Door". Upon entering, the altar is on your right. The device is used for items with the Trace of Madness attributes. These items come from Harbinger of Madness, Reign of Madness, and Disciples of Rage quests added in Update 9, Update 10, and Update 38 respectively.

Crafting Window

The Crafting window presents a list of all available recipes. If an item is dragged into the lower left field, this list will be reduced to the recipes using that item. Also a Keyword search can be used to find the crafting recipe one desires.

Recipes

Recipes require ingredients from the Reign of Madness Adventure pack added in Update 10, namely Watcher's Eyes, Polished Stones, Adhesive Slimes, and Brain Samples. These ingredients can drop from any appropriate enemy and are added to your ingredient bag automatically when you or a member of your party kills them (similar to how collectables were distributed in a party during the special events). These ingredients are Bound to Account. Items remain Bound to Account after applying a bonus from the list below and undertake no change in minimum level. Once applied the recipe is fixed and cannot be overwritten by a different recipe.
