Warforged are disappearing from the streets of Sharn, and your old acquaintance Dorris is one of the missing. Your only clue to her whereabouts is a package she was supposed to pick up down by the docks.

Your old acquaintance Dorris has gone missing, along with many other Warforged in Sharn. Go to the end of the Sharn docks and Find Dorris.

The quest entrance is located to the south, at a gate at the end of the walkway.

Tips and Misc

• Bug: In a similar fashion to the bugs in Devil Assault, many monsters in this quest count as a different monster in the Monster Manual. For example, any minotaurs in the quest register as a Dock Worker.
• There are at least 13 minor clues, but you only need 12 to complete that optional objective.

On The Docks

• Speak to Dayson Kluge, to figure out how much of an idiot he is (all top dialog options, "clue"), and about Dorris' missing package. Ask him "Are you telling me that anyone could just walk up here, pick up any old box and walk away with it?" (1 minor clue)
• Investigate the group of Warforged dock workers at the end of the northern-most dock (1 minor clue) by breaking a box and starting a fight with them. The minor clue is discovered when all the warforged are killed.
• Speak to Fran, who is looking for her lost friend and renowned artist, Bertrand Grey. You need to speak to her twice.

• Dialog option 'I'm tracking down another Warforged disappearance, by the name of Dorris. She's an arcane academic. Have you heard of her? (1 clue).
• Dialog option 'Who was it that saw Bertrand last?' (1 minor clue).

• Destroying parts of the barricade turns the City Cops hostile.
• To complete the 'Quell the riot' optional you have to kill every enemy between the barricade and the lift.
• If you let the thugs near the delivery box complete their discussion, the clue triggers then.
• Breaking the delivery box turns the nearby thugs hostile (Also needed for optionals).
• Speak to the Strange Warforged:

• Dialog option 'What was the delivery address?', 'By whom? Was it Dorris?' (1 minor clue).
• The follow-up option 'Shouldn't you report your failure somewhere?' triggers the clue in case it didn't happened before.

• Examine the Black Market Vaunt device nearby (1 minor clue).
• Break the boxes inside the shop after the shop is vandalized by the rioters.

• Examine the Black Market Vault (1 clue)

• Read the Poster next to the elevator to the Cogs. (1 minor clue)
• If you have found all of the minor clues here, you should have 6 left to find.

The Cogs Factory

• The Cogs Factory consists of three level/floors:
  • The entrance level
  • The factory's exit / Money Pit level
  • The trainer's house level
• You can reach the second level either by passing through the factory or jump/climb up at a certain location with enough Jump skill.
  • You must pass through the factory's central room to collect the clue there, but this is an opportunity to split the party between factory and Money Pit action.
    • Money Pit group should find the two secret doors at the factory's exit for bonus XP.

• Make your way from the elevator to the Cogs factory entry.
  • Note: There are two Secret Doors in the factory, leading to Chests.
    Another three Secret Doors are opened by a scripted trigger. With good timing they can be still discovered and count for XP bonus.
• Read the Singed Memo in the Furnace Room (1 minor clue)
• Read the Notebook (1 minor clue) – the position of the notebook is not fixed but usually behind a secret door or nearby.
• Read the Unsent letter (1 minor clue)
• Discover the Soul-split warforged in boxes in the next room (1 clue)
• Go up to read the Forgotten Letter (1 minor clue) in the area (turn left halfway up the stairs) above the trapped corridor. It should be noted that there is a drop down here that can be used to avoid the trapped corridor.
• Go up to find the lever to open the gate to the trapped corridor.
• Take elevator down
• Read the Sternly-Worded letter (1 minor clue) in the room behind the secret door – this is near to the exit from the factory.
• Go up, do not take elevator, to find exit to 2nd level of Cogs.
• To the south on top of a building near to the waterfall is a trigger point for another minor clue.
• Go over bridge, head right for the Money Pit,

The Money Pit

• Talk to the Bookie (you can intimidate the Bookie to fix the fight so that the bugbear Phillip Glaaaasssjaaww takes the fall – you can range attack the bugbear from the stands to move that along, as long as you do not jump into the pit).
• Jump into the ring and clear out all of the other monsters in the ring/stands (same manner as Tharashk Arena); jumping into the pit initiates a free-for-all where you have to attack the entire Money Pit mob all at once.
• If you wait for the contending bugbear challenger to take the fall, the audience still attacks, but the ogre Bookie and his Minotaur guards will fight the patrons alongside you.
• Speak to Warforged opponent (Bertrand Grey) to find out who trained him.
• Head through now open door (opened by the fleeing Announcer). Talk to the "Scared Announcer" Gnoll just behind the door to collect a clue.
• Take the elevator up.

The Cogs – Trainer's house level

• Find the Undelivered Letter just to the east (1 clue).
• Find the Trainer's House.
• There is an optional here – have one person go to the roof and eavesdrop to the conversation whilst standing on the skylight. This also counts as minor clue.
• Defeat the trainer
  • Note: There are MANY traps in his house. He seems to be immune to them all. He will also rubber-band when he gets to the entrance to his house, so drawing him outside will only result in having to defeat him inside with full health. There are 4 Control Panels, two near to the entrance and two near to the exit. The first two can be disabled before he reacts, there is time to disable to the two near the exit as he doesn't set the traps off until about 3/4 HP. If you don't disable or take too long you will have to dodge the myriad of traps, AND the trainer's attacks in order to disable them.
• Open the back door, and talk to Dorris, then talk to The Lord of Blades.
