Overview
It has become clear that, under the influence of the Truthful One, giants in the Tor are preparing some deadly and potent spell. Enter Gianthold Tor and stop them before it is too late.

What to Expect
- Spawning/respawning monsters
- Monsters that have to be killed almost simultaneously (optional: 3 pairs of monsters consisting of 1 giant and 1 dragon each)

- Sonic traps going up the stairs to north side (leading to blue dragon) can be disarmed.
Tips and Misc
A simple completion of this quest (minus dragon optionals) is to
1) Defeat the waves of hill giants and fire giants entering through the various gates.
2) Activate the rune in the Bezekira room that brings down the fire wall barriers (SW corner, near 1st shrine).
3) Find the rubble pile (titled "Hidden Passage") and talk to Snutch the kobold to learn about the other hidden passages.
4) Travel through east and west Hidden Passages to pull the east and west gatehouse levers; this opens the gate to the central chamber (the nearby stone faces turn green when the levers are the correct position).
5) Enter the central chamber and kill the pillars, Effigy of Soul and Effigy of Body.
6) Kill the red named fire giant, Caraduhn.
Be sure to prepare well before entering the circle at the entry, the opening battle is a long one.
Keep an eye out for the "secret passages" hidden in the walls (shown as portals on the map on this page, but not shown in-game). They lead to an early shrine and past sealed doors to continue the quest.
The main portion of the quest ends once you've slain the Portal Keeper, Caraduhn, and characters can finish at that point if they wish.
The dragons and giant champions are optional and purple-named. They are much tougher than the main part of the quest; you might find yourself unprepared if you attempt to challenge the dragons on Hard/Elite.
In order to defeat the dragon and the giant, you must kill both of them at the same time (within about 8 seconds) or the dead one will revive with full life and all the debuffs will disappear.
