| Components: | Verbal Verbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations.

Grants a +4 shield bonus to Armor Class, and also negates the following spell effects:
This Armor Class Bonus does not apply if the caster equips an actual shield with a greater bonus. This spell reduces Grazing Hit damage by 10%. Minimum duration is 5 minutes. Wizard Spell inscription : Requires Level I Inscription Materials. Scrolls

Clicky Named itemsRandomly generated Clickies can also drop as quest rewards* in a few older chains, end-rewards from older chains (such as Water Works), and, very rarely, from chests in some quests. They can also occasionally be found for sale in the Three Finger Thad's Guildship amenity. Since these are randomly generated from a wide list of spell effects, the chances for a Shield clicky are appropriately small.
