Shadow of a Doubt is the 3rd quest in the Disciples of Shadow story arcStory arcs  are chains of quests that make up a story line. Completing everything in a story arc often yields a nice reward..

Overview

The notorious Shar priest Dedryk Black is back in custody and the Wheloon authorities want you to help them question the priest about how he escaped from Wheloon Prison.

Go to the Magistrate's Office at the Wheloon Docks to begin the interrogation.

The entrance for this quest is found within the Wheloon Docks area.

Tips and Misc

• At the beginning of the dialog with prisoner Dedryk Black choose option 'Perhaps we can make a special deal.' Successfully using Bluff, Diplomacy or Intimidate (DCs:  ♦56Normal ♥62Hard ♠68Elite) gives an additional chest at the end.
  • You can try again on failure
• Though the streets of Wheloon appear at first to be a bit of a maze, they're really rather linear.
• At the end of the quest, you can read the Mysterious Note
  
  on the table during or after Teralyn's fight.
• It appears this is yet another quest where killing the boss too quickly can prevent completion.
