Web of Chaos[edit]

At the end of Web of Chaos, you get to see a movie explaining the storyline (YouTube)

These are Update 13 contents. All 3 quests are required and must be completed to start your journey to the Forgotten Realms. The quest givers are all located in the Harbor.

Beyond the Rift[edit]

Eveningstar

Update 14 content start here. The entrance for Servants of the Overlord and The Spinner of Shadows quest now works as a town area called "The Spinner's Prison". Receive the quest Beyond the Rift from Tavnar Kronnak inside. Quest entrance is also inside.

After finishing the 4 quests above, you finally find yourself in the Forgotten Realms. Explore the town area of Eveningstar and get the Beyond the Rift end reward from Elminster. Then you can pick up the following quests.

Characters owning a Key to the City - Eveningstar from their previous lives can access The Spinner's Prison area from the Eveningstar side. They can take Beyond the Rift and bypass the first three quests. These characters can successfully flag for the raid, however, they cannot enter the Spinner's Prison from Harbor, i.e., they cannot walk into Forgotten Realms, they must always use the Key to the City.

Menace of the Underdark: The Darkening[edit]

The Darkening is the 2nd chain in the Menace of the Underdark story arcIcon tooltip.pngStory arcs  are chains of chains that make up a story line.
Completing everything in a story arc often yields a nice reward.

Chain bestowed by Adamor Thellik

Explore the King's Forest wilderness area, locate dungeon entrances of above 3 quests and complete them. It is also recommended to locate "Eveningstar Outpost" within the area to establish the easier access in the area that will be used later. It can be reached from The Lost Thread (Abandoned Temple), to the south. Then, head back to Eveningstar, collect rewards and advance to the following quest.

When it is completed, Menace of the Underdark: The Darkening flag also is completed and yields special end reward at this point. The list may contain BtC named items and Commendations, every 3rd completion of the arc offers 4 random named items from the chain as well as a choice of every commendation. Named items are BtCoE items that can be otherwise found on the same quests.

Menace of the Underdark: City of Portals[edit]

City of Portals is the 3rd chain in the Menace of the Underdark story arcIcon tooltip.pngStory arcs  are chains of chains that make up a story line.

Now, you must venture down into the Underdark, locate the Drow city of Sschindylryn to do these quests. It is recommended to locate "Sschindylryn Portal" first for the easier access within the area. Fastest way to do that is using "Eveningstar Outpost" mentioned above and go into the Underdark using the entrance found within the King's Forest (See The Underdark article for details).

After completing the above 3, go back to Eveningstar, turn in these three quests for rewards (just northwest of the town square), and advance to the following:

When it is completed, chain flag is also completed. The list may contain BtC named items.

Menace of the Underdark: The Queen of the Demonweb[edit]

The Queen of the Demonweb is the 4th chain in the Menace of the Underdark story arcIcon tooltip.pngStory arcs  are chains of chains that make up a story line.

Now, you must journey to The Demonweb, Lolth’s home plane as you attempt to stop her scheme. When the above 3 are completed, chain flag is also completed. The chain end reward list may contain BtC named items.

Once you've claimed all rewards, speak to Elminster, who is now visible on the same stone patio area as the above quest givers, in the southeast corner under the small tree. This makes you permanently flagged for the raid; no reflagging is necessary.

Caught in the Web[edit]

This is the raid quest. The quest giver is Elminster located near "The Queen of the Demonweb" quest givers. Sometimes he doesn't show up in the town instance at all, in that case you must re-enter the area or log out/log back in several times.

Note: To be flagged for the raid, completion of all of the above 15 quests is required. This is the biggest flagging mechanic in DDO's history.
