Components: VerbalVerbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations.

Description

Channels positive energy into a target to wipe away injury and afflictionsThis includes: Ability damage, Blinded, Confused, Dazed, Dazzled, Deafened, Diseased, Exhausted, Fatigued, Feebleminded, Insanity, Nauseated, Poisoned and Stunned and restores 10 hit points per caster level (max 150 at caster level 15). Against Undead acts like Harm, and deals 10 points of positive energy damage per caster level. A successful Will save reduces the damage by half. Heal cannot reduce hit points to less than 1.

Notes

  • The Heal spell and the Greater Dragonmark of Healing are not affected by the Empower Spell or Maximize Spell feats, but can be increased by the Empower Healing feat. The same applies to the Least and Lesser Dragonmarks of Healing.
  • The Heal spell only benefits from 50% of your Positive Spell Power.
