This adventure zone is accessed through Zawabi's Refuge.
As of Update 4.2, Sands of Menechtarun is a Wilderness Adventure Area. This Wilderness Adventure Area has three quests - Rare Encounters, Slayer, and Explorer.
Sands of Menechtarun is a level 11 area, allowing characters from levels 8 through 15 full XP rewards.

[edit] Missions
Three of the missions in this zone are given by NPCs located within Zawabi's Refuge:
These three missions are pre-requisites for this zone's raid mission. Each of those three missions will give you an item that has to be turned in to Zawabi within the refuge. After turning in all three items, you can talk to Zawabi yet again to receive the pre-raid mission Against the Demon Queen which is also located within the Sands of Menechtarun explorer area. The actual raid is not located in the Menechtarun explorer area, but is accessed through Zawabi in the refuge.
The remaining missions are given when you find their entrance in the explorer zone. After the missions have been completed, you return to Zawabi's Refuge and talk to --NPC NAME-- to get your end reward.
