Trivia[edit]
- Several of the Vale quest names are references to band/song names from around 1978–2002 hard rock/heavy metal bands:
- "Running with the Devils" is the first track from Van Halen's 1978 Van Halen album.
- "Rainbow in the Dark" is a track and a single from Ronnie James Dio's 1982 Holy Diver album.
- "Creeping Death" is track seven from Metallica's 1984 Ride the Lightning album.
- "Ritual Sacrifice" is the B-side song off the 1989 debut single from the same-named band, Ritual Sacrifice.
- "To Curse the Sky" is track four ("Curse the Sky") from the band, Iced Earth, and their self-titled debut album from 1990.
- "The Shroud" is the name of a gothic/rock band from 1992–2002.
- "The Coalescence Chamber" refers to the band, Coal Chamber, and their self-titled debut album from 1997.
- "Let Sleeping Dust Lie" is a bit more obscure but most likely a reference to a track from Michael Schenker Group's 1981 album MSG. The track is titled "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie".
- "The Codex and the Shroud" COULD refer to the Pray Codex, an ancient text predating the 12th Century that has miniature drawings of the Shroud of Turin within it.
