Dragon Lord is a variant Fighter archetype introduced in Update 66. Dragon Lords model their tactics after the ferocity of dragons to demoralize and subdue their enemies. They excel in crowd control, defense, and Draconic power. The archetype is free to VIPs or purchasable for 995 DP.

This archetype was initially released as the first Year of the Dragon reward.

Bug: The Update 66 Release Notes for Dragon Lord claim the class is meant to have a Good Will Save progression (using the same numbers as Fort Save in the below table); the archetype still uses Fighter's Poor progression for this save (same numbers as Reflex save.) It is unclear if this is a bug or if the patch notes are wrong.

Past Lives[edit]

File:nopic.jpg Past Life: Dragon Lord You were a Dragon Lord in a past life. Others find you strangely compelling when you speak or take to the battlefield. Each time you acquire this feat you gain +1 Damage with Melee Weapons and +1 Breath Weapon DC. This feat can be stacked up to three times.

Archetype: This class counts as a Fighter for the purposes of Completionist.

Past Life: Dragon Lord is a Free Feat, which means it is permanently added to the character that unlocks it and you won't need to choose it, neither at new life nor at level up.

Draconic Aura[edit]

Dragon Lords gain a Draconic Aura ability. Select which aura you want as feats and upgrade the effect via Dragon Lord enhancements.

Auras grant morale bonus. This does not stack with everything, especially low level spells such as Good Hope. Upgrades in the Dragon Lord tree eventually help these exceed the bonuses of those spells. Game designers do not intend to change this to a unique typing. DDO Forums

Fighter bonus feats[edit]

At 2nd, 4th, 6th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 18th and 20th level Dragon Lords gain an additional bonus feat. These bonus feats must be drawn from the feats noted as fighter bonus feats. A fighter must still meet all prerequisites for a bonus feat, including ability score and base attack bonus minimums.

These bonus feats are in addition to the feat that a character of any class gets from advancing levels. A Dragon Lord is not limited to the list of fighter bonus feats when choosing these feats.

Some feats on the Fighter bonus feat list are exclusive to the Fighter / Dragon Lord class: no other class can take them. These feats are listed below, and usually require certain number of Fighter / Dragon Lord levels.
