Name: Dismissal
School: Abjuration
Spell Level: AotS 4, Clr 4, DarkA 4, FvS 4, Sor/Wiz 5, Wlk 4
Components: VerbalIcon tooltip.pngVerbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., SomaticIcon tooltip.pngSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations., FocusIcon tooltip.pngFocus: A focus component is a prop of some sort. Unlike a material component, a focus is not consumed when the spell is cast and can be reused. This has no gameplay applications in DDO, as all characters are always considered to be carrying a focus component at all times and it does not require a inventory slot.
Spell Point Cost: 25
Metamagic: Enlarge, Quicken
Target: Foe, One extraplanar creature
Range: Close (25 ft.+5 ft. per 2 caster levels)
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will save partial
Spell Resistance: Yes
Cooldown: 8 seconds (Wiz), 6 seconds (Sor)

This spell forces an extraplanar creature back to its proper plane if it fails a special Will save. (DC= spell’s save DC-creature’s Hit Die+your caster level.) If the spell is successful, then the creature is instantly whisked away sending the subject to his plane. Even on a successful save the target still suffers 1d3 +3 per caster level untyped damage.

This spell is only of use against Extraplanar creatures. It has no effect on other creatures - they are immune to both the instakill effect and the untyped damage. The instakill effect also does not work on Orange (on Epic Hard or above), Red, or Purple named monsters, although it is unaffected by Deathblock.

Bug: Currently, this spell appears to deal significantly more (at least twice as much) damage on a successful save than the tooltip indicates it should.
