Description

Unlocks locked doors and chests as if a Rogue with an Open Lock skill of caster level+casting ability modifier (Intelligence for Wizards, and Charisma for Sorcerers) was attempting to pick the lock.

• Standard trapping gear (i.e. Open Lock items, Thieves' Tools, etc.) or skill enhancements have no effect on this spell.
• Transmutation boosts do not seem to affect this spell. As observed, the +bonus included with die rolls remains unchanged.

Scrolls

Note: These scrolls, in practical application, cease to be useful on Elite in approximately level 6 content. At a mere Casting Level 3 they only give a 3 point bonus to the skill check; a level 1 Rogue with very basic equipment could outperform it.
