This has no gameplay applications in DDO, as all characters can always speak and there are no effects which prevent you from doing so., SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations.

Description: You can slay any one living creature within range. The target is entitled to a Fortitude saving throw to survive the attack. If the save is successful, the creature instead takes 4d2+4 untyped damage per caster level (Maximum caster level 25 or 100d2+100) damage. The subject might die from damage even if it succeeds on its saving throw. Finger of Death is a death effect, and as such a Deathblock item, or Deathward spell will provide immunity. Deals 7-12 negative energy damage per caster level, rather than untyped damage. The spell damage is affected by bonuses to Negative Spell power and the Heal skill.
