Description
Enemies are sprayed with illusions of color, and must make a Will save or be Dazed, Blinded, and/or Silenced. The target must make a saving throw for each effect.
Notes
- Dazed effect by this spell won't be removed by damage, and render enemies helpless.
- The DC is Intelligence based (for Gnomes), or the highest of Int/Wis/Cha (for Feydark Illusionist). This SLA is treated as a standard level 5 Illusion spell and benefits from effects that increase the DC of your Illusion spells.
- Wild Mage Sorcerers can choose to learn this as a 5th level spell.
- The Prismatic Mind enhancement adds 1d6 extra chaos damage per Caster Level.
- Targets normally immune to Illusions (for example Spiders, Scorpions, Undead and Constructs) can still be blinded and silenced.
- Bug: Vermin type spiders are actually affected by the Blinded and Silenced portions of this spell, although they will not display the visual symbols; however, the effects can still be seen on their examine screen. Magical Beast type are properly immune to all effects of the spell.
- Gnome/Deep Gnome and Feydark Illusionist enhancements share a cooldown.
- U41.3 patch says: (Greater) Color Spray should now be properly considered an Illusion spell.
- Tests (possibly obsolete):
- Heighten Spell only heightens up to your maximum spell level. For example, for a Bard 4 (casts max spell level 2) Heighten adds +1 DC. For a Cleric 15 (max spell level 8) Heighten adds +7 DC. DDO Forums
- Another test claiming the opposite: DDO Forums
