- Usage: Passive
Description
This feat negates the -4 penalty to attack rolls from using simple weapons untrained.
For Melee, Simple Weapons include: Club, Dagger, Light Mace, Heavy Mace, Morningstar, Quarterstaff, Sickle, and Unarmed.
For Ranged attacks, Simple Weapons include: Dart, Light Crossbow, Heavy Crossbow and Throwing Dagger.
Unlike Martial Weapon Proficiency you do not have to purchase this feat separately for each type of weapon. It's one feat with no subfeats and will grant proficieny with all simple weapons, melee and ranged combined.
Notes
- Every class except Druids, Monks, and Wizards get this feat for free at level 1.
- Druids are only proficient in this subset of Simple weapons: Club, Dagger, Dart, Quarterstaff, Sickle, and Unarmed.
- Druids are also proficient with the Martial weapon Scimitar.
- Monks are only proficient in this subset of Simple weapons: Club, Dagger, Quarterstaff, Heavy Crossbow, Light Crossbow (although most of these aren't considered to be ki weapons)
- Wizards are only proficient in this subset of Simple weapons: Club, Dagger, Quarterstaff, Heavy Crossbow, Light Crossbow, and Throwing Dagger.
- Druids are only proficient in this subset of Simple weapons: Club, Dagger, Dart, Quarterstaff, Sickle, and Unarmed.
