An Explosive Situation
Criminal cartels are rampant in the seedy district of the Harbor. Their members prowl the gambling halls for easy marks... and citizens like Philver Sharpwood often get in over their heads.

Overview
Philver's gambling debt made him a tempting target for the Bilge Rats. He's not a rich man, but he owns a warehouse in the Harbor. Philver's fear is that the Bilge Rats are on their way to his warehouse to wreak havoc and steal his wares. Go there to investigate and if necessary, drive out the hoodlums.
Spoiler Warning: Spoiler material below this point!
Objectives
- Slay 20 Bilge Rat Thieves
- Deal with the Bilge Rat Leader
Known Traps
- Acid trap guarding a locked chest behind a secret door. The acid jets activate upon opening the chest.
Tips and Misc
- This quest was originally a level 3 Solo-only quest, before receiving an overhaul in Update 66. Characters that completed the quest at least once on their current life prior to U66 will count as having completed the quest on Casual difficulty (this also slightly reduces the amount of favor they have from the quest, from 2 to 1.)
- Watch out for explosive barrels – they are marked with a red "X" and will explode, doing damage to you if you are near them. They count towards the breakables bonus.
- All of the thieves are positioned next to explosive barrels. You can injure or kill them by shooting the barrels from a distance. If you melee, be careful of striking the barrels.
- In Philver's dialog he states that his biggest client is House Kundarak and that they are using explosives. This is probably a reference to the Ruins of Threnal quest In Need of Supplies.
Bonus XP
- Aggression bonus: 7 or more monsters killed +10% Bonus.( ♣44 ♦79 ♥85 ♠90 )
- Onslaught bonus: 14 or more monsters killed +15% Bonus.( ♣67 ♦119 ♥127 ♠135 )
- Conquest bonus: 21 or more monsters killed +25% Bonus.( ♣111 ♦198 ♥212 ♠225 )
- Mischief bonus: 76 or more breakables smashed +8% Bonus.( ♣36 ♦63 ♥68 ♠72 )
- Vandal bonus: 99 or more breakables smashed +10% Bonus.( ♣44 ♦79 ♥85 ♠90 )
- Ransack bonus: 122 or more breakables smashed +15% Bonus.( ♣67 ♦119 ♥127 ♠135 )
- Notes: As the Bilge Rat Gifted counts for the objective to slay 20 Bilge Rat Thieves, it is important to kill 20 Pledges before fighting him to get full Conquest XP – otherwise the objective locks at Onslaught when you kill him.
