Weapon Finesse
Weapon Finesse

- Usage: Passive
- Prerequisite: Base attack bonus of +1, Dexterity 13+
Description
Weapon finesse allows the character to use his dexterity modifier instead of the strength modifier when making melee attack rolls with light weapons, rapiers, and unarmed strikes. The highest of the strength and dexterity modifiers will be used for attack rolls with qualifying weapons. The strength modifier is still used as a bonus to the damage roll, however.
The following weapon types benefit from Weapon Finesse:
- Dagger
- Handaxe
- Handwraps
- Kama
- Kukri
- Light hammer
- Light mace
- Light pick
- Rapier
- Shortsword
- Sickle
- Unarmed
- in a Druid animal form
The PnP version of Weapon Finesse applies the armor check penalty of your shield to attack rolls made with Weapon Finesse, but DDO does not do this.
Notes
- Fighters may select this feat as one of their fighter bonus feats.
- Monks may select this feat as one of their martial arts feats.
