Miscellaneous bonus

The following miscellaneous bonuses to Armor Class stack with each other in DDO, but miscellaneous bonuses coming from the same source don't stack (ie - 2 paladins' aura).

  • Actions:
    • Blocking +2 (only while actively blocking)
  • Feats
    • Paladin's Aura of Good +1-4 (versus evil)
  • Enhancements:
    • Fighter’s/Paladin's Action Boost I to V +2-6
    • Hero's Companion +1-3 (Halflings can provide this bonus to teammates)
  • Airship Buffs:
    • Armory: +[2/4/6] Guild bonus to Armor Class

Other common bonuses to your armor class are armor bonus, shield bonus, deflection bonus, dodge bonus, dexterity bonus, and natural armor bonus.

Some effects decrease Armor Class. Both players and monsters use these abilities.

  • Feat: Sunder: -4 (decreases AC for 12 seconds; usually only used on monsters)
  • Feat: Improved Sunder: -5 (decreases AC for 24 seconds; usually only used on monsters)
  • Ability: Rage: -2 (decreases AC for duration of spell but increases Strength, Constitution and Will save; usually cast as a mass-buff on allies by Arcane casters)
  • Property: Destruction: -4 (decreases AC for 60 seconds; usually only used on monsters)
  • Property: Improved Destruction: -8 (decreases AC for 60 seconds; usually only used on monsters)

AC bonuses include armor bonus, shield bonus, deflection bonus, dodge bonus, dexterity bonus, and natural armor bonus.
