Adding links to external sites.[edit]

I have recently spent many hours putting together a site to help people with the Cannith Crafting system, but I'm unsure of if it is possible to upload it with all its functionality to the wiki, so I was wondering if I am permitted to add an external link.

http://cannith.deathwishgame.co.uk/ if you're interested in checking it out. Spirit (Contribs • Message) 08:12, July 6, 2011

I don't see why not, as long as you reference and link it properly.. ShoeMaker 17:32, July 13, 2011 (EDT)

Wilderness Adventure Area revision[edit]

I noticed that you revised the layout of the Three-Barrel Cove article and it appealed to me, so I did a similar revision to the Korthos Island article. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I have stolen shamelessly from you (especially my user page and character template) and just wanted to thank you. I have been working on adding articles for the rare encounters and then fixing the links on the individual Wilderness Adventure Area articles. Continuing forward I will revise the wilderness articles to match the ones that we just did. Furian 13:25, July 18, 2011 (EDT)

DDO Store Page[edit]

You failed to look at the entire page as a whole. All the items have been move to the new sections to mimic the New section layout of in gameDDO store. Bags and such are under the Character section just like the DDO store, not sure how you miss that, instead of being place under Gear section where the basic armor and weapons are like the DDO store. I Gave crafting its own section. fast travel under magic items. If you going to make a reversion look at the entire page first.

All you did now is made a mess of the page with multiple duplicate listings. Iam reverting your changes. Note If this was not the appropriate place to post this I apologize in advance.→ Bladedge 21:23, July 22, 2011 (EDT)
Also I dont know how to rename or have the ability to rename pages that may have also lead to some confusion about items missing Bladedge 21:27, July 22, 2011 (EDT)
I could not see the whole page because I was using Special Page: Patrol Edits.. I apologize, and have no problem as long as all of the data is there in some way.. :) I at very least appreciate your contributions. I hope you don't think otherwise.. Big Grin ShoeMaker 00:53, July 23, 2011 (EDT)

Ingredients Template[edit]

Could you please have a look at this: Template:Ingredients? It seems that it does not pick up any of the parameters after the description; like on this page for example: Greater Arcane Essence.
Also, on that page, the in-text 'edit' opens up the template instead of the data page; although you already had an idea why that happens ... (this is just a reminder Wink). Thanks.→ raute_borge 16:07, July 28, 2011 (BST)

Fixed... Big Grin ShoeMaker 11:49, July 28, 2011 (EDT)

Template debugging[edit]

Yo, I did an update to Template:Infobox-monster to make it support named monsters which aren't technically bosses. Plus some other fixes to give it better auto-cat and a rare section.

Seems mostly good but has a minor bug I'm not sure about how to fix: Minor gap on pages where the mob is neither a boss, nor a colored named. EG: Scorpion i just updated. Not sure how to just hide that gap for those few cases, maybe you can check it out if you get a chance. Thanks.→ Shade 15:39, August 8, 2011 (EDT)

Where you had two "removable lines" back to back, there needed to be no line-feed in the coding in between them.. Let me know if this creates other issues. Smile ShoeMaker 19:50, August 8, 2011 (EDT)

Named Weapon auto cat issues[edit]

Never really looked at categories much before. But recently noticed theres a lot of mess with them.. Been trying to clean up lots, but this one all you i think since its part of your ultra complex template: Check this page
Sword of Shadow
Notice the categories... Fire augmentation item?
Then click to the epic version: Epic Sword of Shadow
Unique Weapons.. Wrong case - correct cat is Unique weapons. Think a quick find and replace W with w might fix that one.. Other ones I have no idea.

Then I look at an actaul fire augementation item: Epic Helm of the Red Dragon Cat:Plane of night.. (Missing the _loot)

Yea i dunno. Im sure you can figure them out =)→ Shade 11:28, August 31, 2011 (EDT)

K nice look like you fixed those problems.. Still always more to be done tho: Check this pages cats: Antique Greataxe.. See several inconsistancies still: Cat: Unique Two-handed weapon.. should be weapons.. plural. Cat: Unique Great Axes.. mm most cats are lower case, but yea i dunno. Can stay I guess since the ingame naming sorta dos that sometimes too, tho the proper term is Greataxes imo.

Then the loot categories are quite messy.. It adds it to both: The Maleficent Cabal loot and The Maleficent Cabal rewards (in this case the greataxe is an end-reward ONLY item).. And theres no way to edit it to not have it do that, since the chest and reward sections are inexplicably linked. I think just having the chest loot auto cat would be fne, and destroying the end reward auto cat mess, as we can and pretty much always do those manually anyways as they aren't too numerous or difficult to do, plus its neccesary to get the quest/reward auto-linking rewards pages to work anyways.

Also take a look at this mess: Destructive War Axe.. This one messy since the fields are filed wrong, but a quick glance shows nothing wrong with them.. Just again a few missing S's or spaces or not understand what "class" means causes lots of problems for the auto cats. Anyways bout to fix up that page so check the history to see what im talking about if u get this msg late. Not sure you wanan do the extra work to handle user-error on the template like that or not tho, could be a nightmare heh. The other fix should be an easy enough search and replace to replace every "weapon" with "weapons".→ Shade 13:01, September 9, 2011 (EDT)

hirelings activity[edit]

Hi, I've done some major progress to automate the hirelings conversion to use the new template; however, I need you to add HP and SP field to the template:hireling. Thx, Jan Cru121 06:45, September 22, 2011 (EDT) I have pasted the hireling list to https://ddowiki.com/page/Talk:Hireling. There seem to be some issues. I personally think there's too much graphics. Also, we lose the ability to sort hirelings by level. That's a major usability loss. Cru121 08:05, September 24, 2011 (EDT) Also, it no longer possible to e.g. search for "death ward" to find useful hirelings... Cru121 08:08, September 24, 2011 (EDT)

That is an awesome start.. I totally wasn't expecting a max loops error. I'll start debugging the templates and try to get them done by next week. What do you mean by "search"? Like hitting [CTRL]-[F] and using your browser to search? Hadn't thought of dong that before.. I'm sure I could come up with something, maybe some hidden text that search can find or some sub-text on the graphics. It also seems I have some more screenshots to make of level/class and commands.. I'll start with that tomorrow. Big Grin. ShoeMaker 08:26, September 24, 2011 (EDT)
