House Phiarlan Enclave[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 7 or lower, he will reply:
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: I don't have a use for you, scuttle off.
If you are at level 8 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: Greetings <name>. Maris speaks highly of you and says you're someone that can help me.
- You: Sure, what seems to be the problem?
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: A tribe of ogres, the Kar-Thul, discovered the ruined fortress of Splinterskull.
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: But they found something else - the great spider, Whisperdoom. She was captured by Ogre Magi and now serves some dark purpose.
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: We need you kill Whisperdoom and any of the magic-infused spawn as well. But before you leave, find the Kar-Thul responsible slay them all.
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: If you agree, my caravan can take you to Whisperdoom's new lair at the Jungle Clearing.
- You: consider it done. (Bestow quest)
- You: What "dark purpose" could they have for her?
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: We have little information but what we have learned is frightening. The ogres of Kar-Thul are known for the powers of their enchanters.
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: We believe that they mean to infuse the spider queen with magic. She and her daughters will be able to cast spells!
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: An army of spell-casting spiders... well, you can imagine the danger that poses.
- You: Very well, I shall destroy Whisperdoom, her daughters, and the Ogres responsible.
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: Did you slay Whisperdoom?
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: Hop onto my caravan if you want a ride to the Jungle Clearing.
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: You slew the foul spider and her spawn. House Phiarlan thanks you for coming to aid us in our time of need.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Eriephaus d'Phiarlan: House Phiarlan is in your debt, friend. Thank you for your assistance.

He can be seen giving out intelligence on the Droaam army to Gavin Northus:
