Talk:Recent platform update

So, recent upgrade of Wiki platform seemed to go smoothly enough - gj to whoever toughed that one out! One minor, post-upgrade hiccup I'm experiencing is that the edit count on my Contributions page has disappeared. We all have that ticker on our user pages, but it seems we no longer have the info to keep track of how many edits we've made - or has it just been moved? (Used to get there via clicking the "C-Hound has 2,500 or more edits" link in that box.) • It seems that you are right. I found the edit count under Preferences. -- Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 10:51, December 1, 2019 (EST)
    • Copy that. Tried to change link target in the Template:UserEditAward from Contributions to Preferences page, but lost the edit count (went to "< 100") - seems that part of the code is too dense for me to grok.
As a side note, when I first went to that page, the code was not visible; I removed the " {{Big= " template around the code, and it's now back (if only in normal font). C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 09:36, December 2, 2019 (EST)
      • No need to manually update edit counts any more. Just use a raw {{UserEditAward}} on your user page and the template will do it automatically (once I get it figured out why formatnum: doesn't seem to be working).  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 13:26, December 2, 2019 (EST)
        • That's a neato feature. As a side to your side note, I'm totally geeking-out over the smooth use of a Heinlein word I have always been fond of. The cool meter on you just red-lined, C-Hound. meander (ContribsMessage) 21:05, December 2, 2019 (EST)
