Character slot
Character slots indicate how many characters you can create on each game world. There are a few ways by which you can increase the number of character slots you have on your account:
- All accounts get a basic initial allocation of character slots:
- Free to Play accounts get 3 character slots (prior to Update 30, Free to Play accounts only got 2 character slots).
- Premium accounts get 5 character slots (prior to Update 30, Premium accounts only got 4 character slots).
- VIP accounts get 11 character slots (prior to Update 30, VIP accounts only got 10 character slots).
- Up to 30 more character slots can be purchased in the DDO Store.
- The Shadowfell Conspiracy expansion:
- The Standard Edition comes with 1 character slot.
- The Collector's Edition comes with 3 character slots.
- The Pre-Order version came with an additional 1 character slot.
- The Mists of Ravenloft expansion Ultimate Fan Bundle and Collector's Edition each come with 1 extra character slot.
- The Masterminds of Sharn expansion Ultimate Fan Bundle and Collector's Edition each come with 1 extra character slot.
- The Fables of the Feywild expansion Ultimate Fan Bundle and Collector's Edition each come with 1 extra character slot.
- The Isle of Dread expansion Ultimate Fan Bundle and Collector's Edition each come with 1 extra character slot.
