Your sandbox - 20 recipes[edit]

Hey, welcome etc.! I noticed in your personal Sandbox that you have dead links to the 20 Winter Recipes. Not sure what you have planned, but I thought it'd be worth mentioning that re Wiki SOP, there are 2 schools of thought: one argument is to have an article for each distinct item, and another argument that "similar" items can be consolidated all on one page, for easier reference. For me, so long as the page does not become unwieldy, I lean toward the latter - cleaner, easier for the user to see all related items (and compare them), and less work for later editors should something need changing. (Altho' you can also do both, one w/ general "all inclusive" info, and then a dedicated page for each specific item.) In the end, there is no one "best" practice, except what works best for the current collection of items in question.

Keep up the good work - and if it helps, take a look at my User:C-Hound/Wiki Code page, where I have all the useful links/tricks/quirks that I've found to help me with editing. C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 02:31, December 13, 2021 (EST)

  • Oh! Thank you for the advice! Yeah, that's a project I've been meaning to finish since last year--I made sure to grab screenshots of every single Winter Recipe, before they became obsolete and removed from the game, so that I could add them to the wiki as Historical pages. The suggestion to have them all consolidated on one page, however, is probably a very good idea, ESPECIALLY for historical no-longer-in-the-game info like this! And oh, a handy sheet for wikicode? Thank you, I shall also likely make use of this! TheWarforgedArtificer (Contribs⇑ top ⇑) 02:44, December 13, 2021 (EST)

Monster images[edit]

Hey! Nice images you are getting in there. If you allow me, let me give you a tip regarding dark environments (which I forgot to mention in my talk page). Try to always target the monster when you take the picture. This will slightly 'lighten up' the monster, making it more visible. However, of course this will not solve all the problems with dark environments (as if I was an expert on the subject, be aware this is a personal opinion). • Oh, I actually usually try -not- to target-lightup monsters when taking screenshots, I avoid that on purpose, because target-highlighting an enemy subtly changes the shading of their name, which doesn't matter for most common mobs but can sometimes make it difficult to tell the difference between an orange-name and a red-name, so I don't like it. But your advice is appreciated, so I will reconsider this and maybe highlight critters for future screenshots! TheWarforgedArtificer (Contribs⇑ top ⇑) 15:22, October 13, 2020 (EDT)
  • (and random sidenote; although it -is- one of the few screenshots I accidentally had the mob targeted for, I think I'm most proud of my Boromar Alpha screenshot. I've still got more coming, will put the rest of them up later, but -that- screenshot in particular I think was captured at exactly the perfect time and angle, hahaha!) • That one is very funny. It seems it REALLY wanted to play with you! MrLizard (ContribsMessage) 15:31, October 13, 2020 (EDT)

Devotion handwrap location?[edit]

If you could, please look in on the talk page for I:Devotion (Handwraps) item? I looked at the edit history and noticed you were the one to change the drop location after the update. Could you please provide more info there? TheWarforgedArtificer (ContribsMessage) 16:06, November 5, 2020 (EST)

  • Rhat info would have been as accurate as I could have made it; I'm sure I had something showing the quest name when I screenied it, or updated the wiki with the info immediately even if I couldn't do the screenshot right away, or something. However, I might have pulled it from info on the Update 45 named items page. I just honestly don't remember at this point, sorry. But the RNG gods are fickle beasts, especially when you want a specific item. LrdSlvrhnd (ContribsMessage) 00:55, November 6, 2020 (EST)
