Nightmares are a type of Evil Outsider. Rarely among Fiends, Nightmares are found in the service of both Devils and Demons; accordingly they may either be Devil race or Demon race monsters depending on the context in which they are encountered.
Description[edit]
Fearsome fiends, nightmares resemble flaming horses. They are extremely aggressive.
Although this has yet to be included in DDO, in the main game nightmares are often used as mounts by other devils or evil warriors.
Combat[edit]
Nightmares have three special attacks.
- Charge: Piercing damage + Knockdown.
- Fire Charge: Like the standard charge, but instead of Knockdown, leaves a burning trail on the ground that does fire damage.
- Fire AoE: Spawns a circle on the ground that explodes for heavy fire damage, like an airship cannonball marker.
