Random Page[edit]
When I click on Random Page from the homepage of the DDOWiki, I am 100% of the time redirected to Vial Smash: Cold page. Is this broken somehow? 98.164.202.225 (Message • Block • Check) 03:01, December 9, 2022 (EST)
- The DDO Wiki Random page functions as intended; sending you to a random page each time... However, it's likely that your web browser just encountered a temporary glitch, hiccup, or the page cache wasn't being cleared at your end. Therefore, on such rare occasions you'll you get sent (repeatedly) to the first random page that you had landed upon during that session, with no randomise change(s). If you visit today, you'll probably get "random page" changing as expected.

- Yes, it does appear if you aren't logged in the Random page function doesn't always work reliably for DDO Wiki. Currently for me, it prefers to always redirect to "Move like the Night" regardless of clearing the Browser cache, etc. If I login and logout, it then sorts itself and will continue to correctly randomize when 'logged out'. Until, I restart the browser... back to the – not so random – "Move like the Night" LOL.
- That's not typical behaviour for the random function for a Wiki. For example, visiting: https://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Special:Random works as expected.
- It's likely a database storage issue with the DDO Wiki or how the servers are configured. When you are logged in you will get a Session ID and time set.
