Talk:Treasure of Crystal Cove Item Update

All of the U39 new and updated recipes could be listed on this page, or a page like this. Or there could be an individual summary page for each item. Looking for input/feedback. -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 11:11, August 6, 2018 (EDT)

  • Let's focus on getting all of the item pages created for each level/tier combination following the naming pattern identified on Talk:What is the plan, if any, for the new Crystal Cove items?. Once that's done, then it will be easy to set up a dynamic summary of each level/tier version on each item's main page. I don't think we need a separate page with all of the changes.  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 07:58, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
    • I hope you didn't delete the page. That was a decent amount of work, and until your alternative is created it would have been helpful for people to have this summary page. Not everything needs to be automated or just junked. Where did the page go? -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 08:24, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
      • I deleted the page. It was redundant to the existing Swashbuckler page (without as much information) and didn't follow the DDO:Naming policy. Each item should be on it's own page. A single page with all of the items would be too big and would crash the wiki.  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 09:14, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
  • The existing page is the one which is obsolete. It still lists the items such as "Level 4 (Tier 1)" which are the old versions. My page listed the new items. I followed the naming conventions, if you look at the code of the page you deleted. As for being too large, that's some bullshit right there. Treasure_of_Crystal_Cove_loot has a similar list to what I was envisioning, and yet here I am typing on the uncrashed wiki. Why are you such a bullshit artist, Shue? All you've managed to do is to discourage me from contributing to the wiki with your lies and crap policies. -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 14:32, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
    • The existing page is not obsolete. The older versions still exist and still are obtainable. Add the new items to the top of the page. Treasure of Crystal Cove loot is in Pages where template include size is exceeded  which means it is too big and is failing/refusing to load/render the entire page. It's refusing to load the entire page because doing so would crash the wiki.  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 16:39, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
    • More lies and bullshit from you. "It would crash the wiki by existing" is now "It isn't displaying the entire page because that would crash the wiki." So you're already an admitted and confirmed liar. I don't see anything missing from Treasure of Crystal Cove loot so I think that's just more BS from you, but that's not entirely relevant because just 1 minute of thought would tell you that the page I had in mind would not be anywhere near as large as that one. It would exclude: Hats, hat upgrades, consumables, wands, eternal flasks, and trinkets. That's about half the size of Treasure of Crystal Cove loot. And all of the items no longer have a tier 1/2/3, so each item list would be 1/3 the size of the one on Treasure of Crystal Cove loot. Poor wiki can handle that, can't it? -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 18:37, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
      • If it's going to be an update page, as the title suggests - the 7 more versions of each of the items would be more than your proposal to remove hats, consumables, eternal flasks, wands, and trinkets. You wouldn't be removing all of the 18 existing versions, as it's purpose would be to compare all the versions. Simple. Each item will have it's own main page with all 25 versions of the item. A congregate page with 25 versions of 11(?) different items (275 total item versions) is just too much.  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 19:17, August 7, 2018 (EDT)
      • More bullshit and attempts to make things all doom for the sole purpose of trying to justify your position. Why don't you just gracefully concede? Who ever said it would show the old items? Only you. So that's quite a lot of things that wouldn't be on the page. Also, the Glass Cannon would be a summary view, as opposed to a complete item page replicating everything pointlessly as is done on the Treasure of Crystal Cove loot, so even more saved space. There's just about zero chance that the page would be too large for the wiki to handle, but you've set your feet and won't move no matter what facts are brought to the table, because you're like a home owners association member: This is your one piece of power in the entire world and by all the gods you're going to enjoy exercising it no matter what. I've got over 1,000 edits so I feel I've done my part for the wiki. Niminae out. -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 03:17, August 8, 2018 (EDT)
