Talk:Plugins? Getting full character report

I forgot to log on the first time I posted this. Oops!

I am just now realizing that most if not all item-based effects don't stack, and it seems like an unnecessarily cumbersome task to determine if you already have an action or stat buffed, do you have it buffed more than once, etc. I was thinking some kind of printout or a character report would be so helpful in that regard, and perhaps there is some sort of plugin that would do that, like LOTRO has. Does DDO have no plugins at all? If not, is there some nifty trick someone can share with me, because otherwise I am left creating a character sheet on paper to track it all, which I used to do in the olden days, but I thought the point of the O in DDO was to get away from that requirement.

  • No, there are no plugins to do that. There are offline character planners (you can find links in the forums) which track some of what you want if you use named gear (the planners usually don't include random loot). The only certain way to see what item effects you have is to look at your equipped gear (which is not that bad since you can only wear about 12 pieces). The effects of the same type do not stack.
As for creating a character sheet, you already have one by pressing C which is the default key for the character sheet. It has the values of most of your effects (there's also a "+" tab above the "Bio" tab with more effects), but it does not provide detailed breakdowns. Only basic breakdowns of the basic stats if you hover your mouse over them.

  • Something that I forgot to mention is that if you set your chat's incoming messages to "Effects" (right click the chat tab to do that), you will see effect conflicts when you equip a piece of gear with effects that do not stack with some other piece of gear. Do not fully trust those messages though as a lot of things are missing/misrepresented.

  • Thanks for that. So are there any plugins for DDO? if yes, where do I find them?
