Talk:Misery's Peak

The set bonus listed for the Troubleshooter item set is incorrect on this page, but I can't figure out how to edit it and fix it. It should be a "+1 Insight Bonus to all Saves", rather than a "+1 AC bonus". The actual picture linked to the item shows this clearly, and the set bonus on the "Sacrifices" quest page is also correct, only this page has the wrong info listed for the set bonus. I've corrected this now, thanks. FWIW, the page that needed to be edited was: https://ddowiki.com/page/Category:The_Salvation_of_Korthos_reward_items, whose contents get pulled in to the page. Raumkraut (ContributionsMessage) 10:10, June 3, 2012 (EDT)

Onslaught/Conquest bonuses[edit]

Apologies if this is not the right place to post this: Does anyone know if it's even possible to get Onslaught and Conquest bonuses in Misery's Peak anymore (at least in Normal mode)? I went back and forth through the dungeon several times and found perhaps five monsters that respawned, but only once. I was only able to get 145 monsters.— previous unsignedIcon tooltip.pngPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by Snarf ( c |d| r| b) at 13:19, March 13, 2015 (UTC)

  • That ~had~ been tough, and still is. (They reworked this quest back in mid '19, and all the kills numbers are now a bit lower; values listed in article are currently correct). Still not enough on a simple run on Elite, much less Hard/Normal. You have to get respawns, and although there are ~some~ respawning ghouls and cultists (you find these if you enter late, after "It's all been cleared"), the best bet is the ice spiders up on the ledges and ice fields of the main cavern. I just now ran it on Elite, and only had 135 kills at the end, had to wait around to get over 20 respawns to get Conquest on Elite (just to verify the current value); Hard or Normal would only be worse. Pro tip: Don't worry about it too much, it's a very small XP difference, and you'll get plenty of XP in The Harbor. C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 02:18, October 27, 2019 (EDT)
