How do i update the crucible map?

https://ddowiki.com/page/File:M_crucible_maze.png#file is incorrect. The locations of the sockets are wrong, noticed it when I was doing the crucible just now. These are the correct locations : 9BNSTyW.png

  • Simple. Use the upload file link (on the bar on the left) to upload that as an image to the wiki. You can either go to the file itself and upload a new version, or upload the image as a new file (if you do the latter, call it something like M_crucible_maze_updated.png and change the file the page links to.)   • Slight problem, just did epic crucible and i noticed the socket locations were the same as the old map. Either the sockets are randomized or they are different based on the heroic and epic versions. Can anyone confirm? ⇒ Question (Contribs • Message) 06:10, January 30, 2022 (EST)
  • I'm under the impression only the Crests are randomised. Albeit I haven't run 'The Crucible' recently as it takes me ages to solo the maze section. So I cannot confirm as to whether the sockets are static, the crests certainly are semi-random. It might be possible the Heroic and Epic versions have a different layout.

  • Yesterday, I ran the Crucible on Heroic and Epic, it had the following layout: North (Scorpion socket), East (Bat socket) and West (Snake socket), which was like the older overwritten image. Of course you'd likely need to run to the maze on Epic around half a dozen times to be fairly confident that the sockets were static. Albeit we now have two results on Epic recorded with the same layout as the older map, i.e. the archived: M_crucible_maze.png.

  • I ran the Crucible today on Heroic Elite, and it had: North (Snake socket), so it's quite possible even though the crests are certainly semi-random the sockets might be "paired" to prevent it being too easy. For example; making sure all the matching crests aren't always closest to their respective sockets.
