Talk:How does something get added to a category?
I recently created the page for Red Party Hat, as it did not exist. It was not listed on the https://ddowiki.com/page/Category:Cosmetic_Headwear_items page, either. But after creating the page and refreshing the category page, it is still not listed there.
There are several other pieces of cosmetic headgear which are not listed on that category page and presumably also do not have a page created for them, but I am hesitant to create any more of them in case I'm doing something wrong.

- For templates like
{{Named Clothing}}to automatically categorize a page, the page must be in the Item namespace. (Just add Item: to the beginning of the pagename.) I moved Red Party Hat for you, and it is now categorized, including Cosmetic Headwear items . — Zav (T·C) 22:31, January 28, 2016 (EST) - Also worth noting is that any page added to a category automatically by a template may take up to a week to show up in the category (seen it take 4 months on the English Wikipedia, but we don't have a fraction of their traffic). It's due to the way that the MW software updates the internal cat table with something call a job queue.
