DDO Server Transfers 2025
New 64-bit servers will go live on July 17, 2025 and you will have until August 31st to transfer characters off the 32-bit servers before they are closed.
At a later date TBD, SSG will reopen the 32-bit game worlds only for players to prepare their characters for transfer with no questing or other gameplay available for two years.
In preparation for the transfer, use the code 100SLOTS to gain a free 100 Shared Account Bank slots on all servers! [note]

A Rift of Fire
Overview[edit]
A rare encounter in the Orchard of the Macabre. You approach a wizard of The Twelve while she incases herself in a protective barrier. She wants to close a portal to Fernia, but needs your help to fight the elementals crossing the portals while she works on the rift.
Objectives[edit]
A wizard of the Twelve is calling for assistance.
Rewards[edit]
- Chest, Epic Tapestries Shreds, and 1,650 XP
Encounter[edit]
- Ella of the Planes: I could use help here!
Once you actually talk to her, she will say:
- Ella of the Planes: The Black Abbot's failed ascension seems to have further destabilized the barrier between planes. Rifts to Fernia and the other elemental planes are manifesting all over the Orchard!
- You: That sounds like a problem.
- Ella of the Planes: I could easily close this rift myself if these elementals didn't keep coming through and ruining my concentration!
- You: You focus on closing the rift, I'll deal with anything that comes through. (Start encounter)

- You: That sounds like a problem.
There is a total of four waves of elementals, and before each one, she will tell you:
- Ella of the Planes: Oh no! Here they come!
- Ella of the Planes: I need more time!
- Ella of the Planes: Here come more of them!
- Ella of the Planes: I'm almost done! Just a little longer...
- Ella of the Planes: Whew! Thanks for your help.
