re "Attack: None, just runs away" uh, no (at least in Update 52.0.2) On EH and EE (at least), has several attacks including a knock down, which it might use after first running.
As noted in Azza page for The Icemount Curse, but not on the Needle page: "Special Qualities: Healed by negative energy." (quite effectively I might add; my Pale Master simply could not kill it while in shroud-form,on EE). I suspect it gets negative healing from mere proximity to undead. The Unholy Avatar PM enhancement DOES NOT WORK on "Corrupted Unicorns."

- The "mere proximity to undead" thing makes zero sense - not least because there are no undead in the quest, so any undead creatures the unicorn encounters are going to be hostile - but I can confirm the negative healing thing. I am, however, still yet to see the attacks or immunity ward thing you mentioned, despite running the quest several times on epic elite difficulty, with and without other party members. (I might add that Unholy Avatar is unreliable at best, and it might be worth investing in a spell that deals at least one type of elemental damage.) ⇒ PurpleSerpent (Contribs • Message • Email) 04:15, January 25, 2022 (EST)
I agree "proxmimity" (I meant my toon in shroud) is nonsensical. Presume it was my Lesser Death Aura doing a wonderful job for it. Re attacks, blast the unicorn with a few negative spells/SLAs as it runs, and after ??1k yards-ish, it will stop and wait and then attack when you approach: behavior then similar to Azza for something like 30 seconds. I was able to kill it using melee only, and it did not attack, or died too fast to switch behavior. My PC doesn't really have the resources to record it -- probably not worth the trouble anyway. re "investing," I normally use Attune-the-Arcane: Shadow Dragon, which puts some negative into other spells (which I did originally use when attacking it). Will change that, at least for Corrupted Unicorn quests. re Unholy Avatar I've found it to work "as described" 99% of the time. --47.28.173.43 (Message • Block • Check) 12:12, January 25, 2022 (EST)
