Yes, they use similar mechanics... but they're entirely different, and notes about one don't belong on a page for the other, IMHO. Deception, to the best of my knowledge, also uses similar mechanics for the "engulf in darkness" bit, so by your logic you should put a note about that as well. -LrdSlvrhnd 19:27, January 12, 2011 (EST)

Interesting, I would expect the "engulf in darkness" effect to make sneak attacks work from any attack, but I hadn't heard that the effect can proc from a main-hand (or thrown) attack with the Deception on an off-hand weapon. I would like these kinds of "applies from any source" bonuses to be documented somewhere, and if not on the effects themselves, perhaps they should have a category? Any suggestion on what that would be called? Double strike may need to be added to this new category too. Backley 19:54, January 12, 2011 (EST)
