If you try to talk to him while at level 1, he will reply:
- Ruat Acalay: Have you noticed that the water tastes a little funny lately?
If you are at level 2 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Ruat Acalay: Ruat speaks quickly, you can barely make out his words, Thual Masmataz a mad alchemist has been perfecting his vile poison and plans to infect Stormreach's water supply with it you must stop him immediately please you must help, please, please, please.
- You: A masmawhat? Slow down, I cannot understand you.
- Ruat Acalay: Ruat relays a more slow and concise explanation, Thual Masmataz is an evil alchemist that plans to infect Stormreach's water supply with his vile poison. He must be stopped immediately.
- You: Well, why didn't you say so in the first place? He will be stopped. (Bestow quest)
- Ruat Acalay: You must enter the Vile Apothecary through the alleyway across from me. Please hurry!
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Ruat Acalay: Time is of the essence, stop Thual immediately!
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Ruat Acalay: You have done a great deed for Stormreach. You are to be commended for your efforts.
- You: I mostly did it for myself, poisoned water doesn't appeal to me.
- Ruat Acalay: Thank you for stopping Thual and saving the city!
After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Ruat Acalay: You have done a great deed for Stormreach. You are to be commended for your efforts.
