Talk:Tomb of the Forbidden

From DDO wiki

No idea how to communicate here in the wiki, so this is my best guess.

In tomb of the forbidden, the wiki states to park a hire, highlight a lever, then run to the other lever. It is far easier to not highlight the lever until you get in position. This allows you to self-heal, pick up collectables, and just generally play the game much more relaxed then having to stress about keeping a lever hard-targeted through many fights.

More importantly, as written it doesn't even work, since in the last lever pair there is a door you have to open to run to the other lever. This requires deselecting the hire's lever to open the door. I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to carefully time it before I realized I didn't need to select the hire's lever until I was in position.

Since waiting to select the lever until you're in position vastly simplifies the solo run, I added it to wiki. For some reason it was then removed, with the reason that it's not needed. Perhaps the person who removed it didn't understand the change and why I put it in? -- 11:51, April 11, 2012 EllisDee37 (Contribs • Message)

This implies that you have already clear paths to both levers, which you would like want the hireling with you to do. Then you bring the hire back and park and run to second lever.. I will re-run the quest in the next day or two and reword it appropriately. -- ShoeMaker (ContributionsMessage) 12:04, April 11, 2012 (EDT)

Changed to make it unsoloable?[edit]

Ran this last week and it seems to have changed. The first gate pair is same as before, but for the second pair the switches relock automatically. Meaning you can't flip the switch without holding the gear. This would make it unsoloable if true.

Strength needed to open Western door?[edit]

The western door to optional needs to be broken down with more than 19 Strength. Does anyone know how much, and is that worth adding to the page? --Rinimand (ContribsMessage) 17:55, November 8, 2016 (EST)

  • Usualy, wood/locked (breakable) doors have a visible str dc if you examine them by left clicking and using the examination orb. Sforza (ContribsMessage) 05:16, November 9, 2016 (EST)
