How do I mount second weapon in my hand to dual wield?

You just equip it in your off-hand, assuming it can go in your off-hand.. The only way to dual wield is with two one-handed weapons. No shields, wands, scrolls, potions, throwing weapons, or two-handed weapons.

Sorry if I mess up the reply - can't figure out how to do it properly.

Thanks for the quick response but I'm REALLY slow figuring out the dual wield. I'm a ranger so have the ability and yes I have two single handed weapons. My problem is EXACTLY how you place the weapon in the offhand position. When I double- click the second weapon it just replaces the primary. Is it some sort of drag and drop?

Two options:
  • Easy: click i to open inventory; notice a how there is a silhouette of your character with equipped items. Notice how there is your main weapon in one hand, and there's another empty weapon slot. Drag second weapon to that slot.
  • Advanced: Learn to use the Weapon Sets (10 green boxes) in your inventory. Drag your first and second weapon to the same box. Now drag the box to your command bar. Clicking the box equips the weapon set. Useful when you want to switch multiple weapons at once.

To further clarify... double-clicking on a weapon (or clicking on it from the hotbar) will attempt to put the weapon in your main hand, always. To put a weapon in your off-hand, you NEED to either drag it there directly from your inventory, or have it as part of a weapon set. The first weapon you drag into a set (the green box) will be your main-hand weapon; the second will be your off-hand weapon.
