Talk:Arcane archer work around

ok so here's the scoop - one of the prerequisites for Arcane archer if you are going to make one using race only and not class are things like Elven Arcanum I which has a prerequisite that you be able to cast spells, another one is mental toughness which in order to take also requires that you be able to cast spells and yet another is the sorc past life feat that gives additional starting spell points but only if you have spell points I believe - so basically I'm trying to find a way to meet the prerequisites for Arcane archer with only 2 levels of ranger and the rest barbarian- do you think this is possible with the past life sorc feat? or could I take mental toughness with 2 levels of ranger? 167.127.107.8 01:20, July 20, 2011 (EDT)

I'm no TR expert (or Arcane Archer expert), but from an initial read, you won't be able to take Mental Toughness. However, it does look possible to take Past Life: Arcane Prodigy - the one you purchase, NOT the free Past Life: Sorcerer - with any of your regular feats. You get PL:S at L1 regardless of your class or spellcasting ability; you simply don't get the extra MP until you can cast spells. And with that, you can get PL:AP anytime you choose a feat, by the looks of it. LrdSlvrhnd 02:08, July 20, 2011 (EDT)
