DDO Market

This page is about a subject that no longer exists in-game. | ||

The DDO Market was Standing Stone Game's website where players could buy content packs, VIP subscriptions and bulk DDO Points for money (as opposed to using DDO Points or Astral Shards). As of 2022, the DDO Market has been deprecated; expansions and VIP subscriptions may now be found on DDO.com in the Shop tab, while DDO Point purchases are made in the DDO Store.
DDO Market differences from the DDO Store[edit]
- All purchased items are delivered in the form of "Redeem Code" which is then used
at myaccount.turbine.comin the in-game DDO Store.- These codes can be for gift use to your friends or family.
- These codes can also be used for in-game item trades. This is what players refer to as "TP trade". Trading in-game items for real money is prohibited, however this doesn't seem so. [add official clarification if exists?]
- May or may not have different payment option than the DDO Store.
- This is a standard, HTTP secured website unlike the DDO Store which is a built-in feature to the game client. You can make a purchase from any computer or mobile device that have access to internet.
Steam store[edit]
DDO can be also played via the digital distribution platform Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/206480/. The Steam store offers some downloadable content for sale. Steam occasionally offers different discounts than DDO Market. You don't need to play DDO via Steam to take advantage of Steam offers: DDO Forums.
