Old Timers[edit]

From Peerless' edit summary: "Can somebody verify what I *didn't* remove?". Well Ghallanda is the server of the Old Timers guild, from what I gathered. So it sounds ok. Tihocan 11:04, March 22, 2006 (EST)

I meant - is that just a dig for their guild, like the other half of the original text was, or is it actually thought of as the Old People's guild (by people OTHER than that guild)? (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)
Ah, right, had read a bit fast. You're right, I have never seen anywhere that it was the unofficial server for "old" people. And if that's the case, it should not be phrased with their guild name (Old Timer). So now, it does sound like a dig for their guild. Tihocan 14:09, March 22, 2006 (EST)
Up to you if you want to remove it, then... (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)
On another hand, the Old Timers guild is huge, and thus they do have a significant impact on the server population. I'm not removing it right now, at least it says something about the server, which can be useful for visitors. Tihocan 14:26, March 22, 2006 (EST)
I actually added that and I am not in the old timers guild. If you read the earlier posts on the forums that is the server designated for the old timers, like Thelanis and another that begins with s are for RP. I dont know how much it has held true, but most of the people I run into are older. -- koolkat 18:19, March 22, 2006 (EST)
The confusion resides in the Old Timers term (with caps). For me it's a guild, but from what you're saying, it's a generic term. Maybe remove the caps? Tihocan 10:40, March 23, 2006 (EST)
Ahh yeah I tend to use caps on odd places. likewise I would call Thenanis the unofficial Role Playing server, and Ghallanda is the unofficial Old Timers server. Dont pay any attention to the man behind the screen. -- koolkat 10:44, March 23, 2006 (EST)
I removed the caps, should remove the confusion :) Tihocan 10:54, March 23, 2006 (EST)
OO My bad didn't check edit history - feel free to revert - thought some stupid anon not understanding the wiki way added it. Thanks for verifying. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)
