Type: Suffix
Base price modifier: varies, +1 per X
Effect:
- When Missed in Melee: Deals X - 4*X damage to your attacker.
- Passive: +X/2 (round up) Insight bonus to Armor Class, +X/2 (round down) Insight bonus to Fortitude, Reflex, and Will Saving Throws.
Notes: ** Available on weapons and shields.
- Same effect as Parrying.
Riposte (on a few named items)
Effect: When its wearer is successfully attacked in melee, this shield occasionally (around 5 to 10%) allows him or her to make an immediate counterattack, dealing bludgeon damage to the offending enemy. The damage dealt is around 3d6, and does not vary depending on the weapon you wield, your strength, or the kind of monster attacking you.
