Popups[edit]

Sorry to say Borro but these long pops aren't that great, 1- they pop up to quick, 2- It is hard to read the page and the pop as they sort of blur. To me not a very good feature and one that I hope we can change. Dragonstar 15:48, December 11, 2007 (EST)

I totally disagree. With these, I don't have to wait a page to load that has one or two sentence. The time can prolly be changed but what kind of 'blur'? I hope all the abilities are done with these templates as 95% of the abilities just have too little of 'meat' to be good articles. BlackSmith 03:56, December 12, 2007 (EST)
What Blur? I'm seeing it at all. To me, those tooltip are perfectly readable. Maybe a screenshot? What browser are you using?

To me the pop up speed isn't an issue... if you hover it... it means that you wanted to see the effect... otherwise you'd have simply read it and knew what it was... no? If not, I'll see if I can change that...

EDIT: Just to add. I went on IE 7 and had an issue I sort of had fixed and I have no issue with on Firefox. I believe it's the cache that is not yet cleared... I'll get you a link for that after you've seen you screenshot. If it'swhat I think it is... Borror0 05:25, December 12, 2007 (EST)

Borro and Black here is the [Blur Image]. Like I said it sorta blurr's in with the lines below it. And yes i'm running IE 7.0 . Like I said hopefully it can fixed otherwise it is no good and something I definitely won't be using because everything should be readable to all not just certain browser or people. Dragonstar 08:32, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Yes, it can be fixed. I'm on Firefox, and I've fixed also on IE 7. Go here and then force reload (ctrl+F5) any problematic page. And it'll fixed. For other users, it'll take less than a week to clear up and become normal again. It's the cache that isn't clear, just give it less than a week and it'll be fine all over. :) 08:57, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Hey bud, where is the Here link supposed to go, What it did for me was open up my Dreamweaver software and pulled up the CSS File. Dragonstar 09:12, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Supposed to open a page which tells you force reload... and then you should be alright... Borror0 09:28, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Nope, when I click on the link it opens a Css style sheet in my web software. Also, i've cleared my cached and have rebooted and i'm still getting the problem with the pop up. Which brings up another question, how many other people will have this problem and not know how to fix? Dont' get me wrong I like the pop up idea but we need to make sure that others can see it the right way, otherwise what good is it? Dragonstar 10:05, December 12, 2007 (EST)
It'll fix by itself in a few days. I'll get Elliott to check what is happening on your side and see if anything can be done. Borror0 10:30, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Seems there is bug in the template. Extra damage vs non-giants hoovers right (no transparency, looks nice) but extra damage vs giants and returning hoovers with 100% transparency (the 'blury' thingy). BlackSmith 11:44, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Do you learn every language used by anybody on the planet, and say every sentence you say in every one of said languages, so anybody standing around who only speaks said language will understand you? No. Internet Explorer is simply too much of a pain to develop for. To be frank, this network is the *only* site I develop which doesn't actively kick IE users out the (for instance, visit http://elliottcable.name/ in Internet Explorer 6 or older, and you're kicked right out the door to browsehappy.com). If *you* want to take all the CSS and JavaScript for this site and spent the months of time making it work in such a broken browser, feel free. I don't have the time to do so, though, not for a site that is dying and going to continue doing so as the game it's associated with dies. On the specific points of the broken popups, there's other ways to implement this with a delay, or even something you have to click; but it means I would have to load the MooTools framework into every page loaded on the wiki, and that would slow page load times down even worse than they already have been. If you think that even slower loading pages is an acceptable trade-off for prettier animations in the popups/sliders, then I'll try to find some time to set it up here. Here's an example of what might work better than the popups for some users. elliottcable (talk, site) 16:53, December 12, 2007 (EST)
Don't wont to piss you off anymore than you seem to be, Not even sure why you got mad. All I was doing was pointing out that something wasn't working correctly and wanted to make sure other users that are looking for information don't have the same problem if possible. And as for the game dying, don't know about that (Been hearing that for over a Year and will likely here it for at least another Year. Only time will tell but until someone brings a game out that is better, I will be here til the end. Your links aren't working for me at all for some reason, clicking on your link result in a "Cant display xml Page for me". IE Explore may be broken and always has been, but it is still one of the most widely used browsers today. Dragonstar 17:19, December 12, 2007 (EST)
That was a demonstration of the hate Elliot has for IE..

Seems like anything we try for forcing the cache to work.. isn't working. So, time will take care of it. Elliott simply has gotten uninterested by the wiki and helps when he feels like to. Seems it was a bad day to ask for help. But like he told me on MSN, things will most likely fix themselves with time... just got to wait for cache to clear by itself... =/ If it never correct itself, we'll try to go something else.. Borror0 17:59, December 12, 2007 (EST)

Well, it's 6.5 years later and the game (and thankfully, DDO wiki) is still around. Doomsayers, eh? More importantly...what did/does this have to do with the Dwarven Thrower? On to the point, I have a copy of the Dwarven Thrower that has d8 base damage and is unbound. It would seem that the base damage was retroactively changed for the older versions at some point.— previous unsignedIcon tooltip.pngPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by 173.217.117.55 (d| r| b) at 21:03, September 18, 2019 (UTC)

Drop locations[edit]

not sure if this is of any interest, if not then delete my noise..

Got this from a Festivult Gold Coin turn-in at the Festivult Jester on a level 1 halfling rogue. Was surprised that there still exist race-restricted (except with enough UMD) weapons in the game. — previous unsignedIcon tooltip.pngPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by Bosko61 ( c |d| r| b) at 18:31, January 7, 2016 (UTC)
