Template talk:Unique weapon

First of all Great job on the template. 2nd, I'll apologize ahead of time for the changes i'm throwing at you. I just like having everything uniform as much as possible. As for the quest field, you were saying something about leaving it blank. What about items that don't have a unique location? Dragonstar 09:00, December 4, 2007 (EST)

First, don't about the changes. If I edit a lot, that means the wiki is improving. I also wantr everything to be uniform and as perfect as it can be, so don't worry about it. I'm not affraid of work, and it's much more "fun" to not be working alone. Secondly, I made the quest "default" so that it writes "Unkown location", thinknig about chaging it it to "loot with unknown location" or something around those lines.. but that only applies when the field is left blank. If the item has no precise location, like say Sunblade, we could find a way to make it clear.

We both know that Sunblade, or Mace of Smiting, or Circle of Persuasian can drop from about any quest in the game. So any formulation that would make this clear could be used. However, the same "wording" shoudl be used so they all enbd-up in the same category. Sounds good? Borror0 09:09, December 4, 2007 (EST)
Sounds good to me, maybe we can put in Non-Unique Location. Also for the location how does stuff like the Festival and special events play will that mess anything up? Dragonstar 09:12, December 4, 2007 (EST)
It'll be a little funny to say so but... put Festivus is the {{{quest}}} and Jester of Festivus (or whatever was his name) in the {{{chest}}} one. Do the same for other events. Quest would be for the event and chest would be for the NPC. Most of the time +Sir I guess...? Borror0 09:16, December 4, 2007 (EST)
Sounds good to me but will that mess up the quest categories as these wouldn't be quests per say? Also don't need but is it possible to have 2 images on the template (i'm thinking an icon image)? Dragonstar 09:20, December 4, 2007 (EST)
I see whaqt you mean about the event... errr... the real quetion is "Do we we want an "Item by quest" category or an "Item by location" one.. or both? I don't mind any of these, just not sure what would be best. It's possible to have a billion image per page, just got to add that to the template. I think I'll wait until the screenshots are done, pointless to have all of these "No picture" posted twice per page. Just just come back to me about that if you still want me to do it. ;)

I was also thinking of adding a screenshot of what armors will look like on the Unique armor template when I'll start working on it. Borror0 09:27, December 4, 2007 (EST)
Item by Location would be best I think, that would cover all the bases (Unkown, Non-Unique, Reward, Events and Quests). As for the pictures, I definately want and have about 1/2 the picture and will update them when i get all the data entered in. While we are talking picture what i'm thinking is having the Icon and the other picture instead of being a screenshot have it actually show what the weapon looks like. We can do this same thing with the other templates also especially the Body ones. Dragonstar 09:36, December 4, 2007 (EST)
Huh? sorry, I don't understand. Mind explaining your thoughts. What do you mean by "instead of being a screenshot"? Borror0 09:51, December 4, 2007 (EST)
Sorry about that sometimes I type to fast trying to keep up with my thoughts. What I mean is instead of using the images that shows the in game description panel, I was thinking of having that show what the actual weapon looks like in someone's hand. Dragonstar 10:10, December 4, 2007 (EST)
