So, the Cannith Crafting changes so far have seemed fairly minor - the system still works as before (deconstruct, get essences, etc). I haven't looked thoroughly, but the recipes don't seem to have changed in any major ways...

What did they take it down for 10ish days to do? Was there some exploit they were fixing, or something? Some kind of high-level summary would be nice... I looked a bit on the forums, but there didn't seem to be anything that explained it. 65.249.226.234 11:23, July 27, 2011 (EDT)

The rumor I've heard flying around is that they added 150 more levels of crafting and it now goes to level 250. No confirmation on this yet though.. ShoeMaker 13:00, July 27, 2011 (EDT)

they increased level cap to 125 (unbound recipe only for now) a while back, and some of 70+ level bound recipes now require Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragments instead of Siberys/Khyber fragment. they added Slaying Arrows, Soul Gems, Large Devil Scales, Demons Blood, Silverflame/Yugortoh mark (BtA tokens purchased from favor vendor) etc to some of highly sort after recipes too.
oh and they removed XP granted from shard deconing so you cannot go "create millions of cheapest shards and keep deconing them" method to level up, which basically means no macro-leveling anymore. yoko5000 00:04, July 28, 2011 (EDT)

Thanks - that's what I was really after. I had heard about some of the recipe changes for the high-level stuff, but the real game-changer is the no-XP for shard decon change... which I hadn't even heard about until yesterday (darn, I missed a good exploit! heh). You can still make the cheap shard and get XP from deconning it, but you have to go actually put it on something first, which makes it much more time consuming (not to mention that you have to keep getting stuff to put it on). That's the systemic change I was wondering about. Just tweaking recipes seemed like a really pathetic reason to take it all down for 10ish days.

Other than the time, though, I wonder if it still might be more ingredient efficient to make really cheap shards, put them on something, and decon them than to make the high-level shards - some of those ingredient requirements are crazy!→ 65.249.226.234
