A boss is an enemy that has exceptional abilities and powers, thus standing out from lesser enemies. Bosses are usually more difficult to take down than a regular enemy, and so most people have to work together to take it down or else risk a painful defeat. Bosses range from all kinds of enemies, from regular enemies that are simply tough for their level, to lesser named bosses that are minions to other bosses, and to huge, epic ones such as giants, demons, and even dragons. Certain spells and effects will not affect some bosses, so it's better to face them with raw power rather than use powerful effects such as vorpal and banishing on them.
