Description[edit]

Seeking ultimate enlightenment, the Grandmaster of Flowers is poetry in motion, accomplishing seemingly impossible physical feats of mobility and martial skill.

This Martial Epic Destiny grants the use of ki, a spiritual energy earned by attacking enemies in melee, and provides unique and powerful ki-based attacks which can only be used while centered. The Grandmaster is balance incarnate and has access to an even mix of defensive and offensive abilities.

Requirements[edit]

At level 20, your Destiny may be to become a Grandmaster of Flowers if you have at least one of:

Innate abilities[edit]

  • Granted automatically as you level up in the destiny.
  • This Epic Destiny grants you +4 Melee Power and +3 Ranged Power per Innate ability. (Total: 24 MP, 18 RP)

Inner Focus: Active Ability: (Cooldown 3 mins) Instantly restore 25-125 Ki. Passive Bonus: You gain +10 maximum ki and +1 stacking spell resistance, and an additional +10 maximum ki and +1 stacking spell resistance for each level of Grandmaster of Flowers you have (so that should be +60ki, +6 SR). You are proficient with Handwraps.

Centered Mind: Passive Bonus: Grants the Slippery Mind feat, allowing an extra saving throw versus enchantments. Also gain +1 to the DC of your tactical feats.

Lily Petal: Active Ability: (Cooldown 6 seconds) Project a bolt dealing 80-120 + 8-12 dmg per character level to one target. Cost 10 Ki.

A Dance of Flowers: Passive Bonus: +[0.5/1.0/1.5][W] to attacks you make while Centered. Note: Works with any weapon as long as you remain centered, eg bows with Zen Archery or T5 Kensei focus weapon. Works without monk levels, so long as you meet the requirements for being centered.

Orchid Blossom: Active Ability: (Cooldown 12 seconds) Projects blast of ki, as with Lily Petal, but to multiple targets. 80-120 +8-12 dmg per character level to enemies in area. Reflex save for half (DC 10 + Character level + 1/2 WIS mod). Cost 20 ki.

Drifting Lotus: Active Ability: (Cooldown 15 seconds) 100-160 +10-14 dmg per character level area-of-effect ki blast centered around you. Reflex save (DC 10 + character level + WIS mod) for half damage. Enemies who fail save are knocked down. Cost 25ki.

Dancing with Flames.gif
Dancing with Flames: Passive Bonus: Gain fire resistance [4/8/12]. Gain +[1/2/3] to attack and damage rolls. If you have Monk levels and are in Fire stance, add [0.3/0.6/1.0][W] to your weapons.

A Scattering of Petals.gif
A Scattering of Petals: Active Ability: (Cooldown 1 min) Nearby enemies must make a Fortitude save (DC 20 + character level + 1/2 WIS mod) or become blinded. For the next 12 seconds, gain +25% Dodge. Cost 30 Ki.

Everything is Nothing.gif
Everything is Nothing: Active Ability: (Cooldown 5 min, 50 Ki) "Perfect Peace" counter (shown in buff bar) increments each time you use Stunning Fist, Quivering Palm, Lily Petal, Orchid Blossom, Drifting Lotus or A Scattering of Petals. When Perfect Peace counter reaches 25, gain the ability to use Everything is Nothing (its counter shows a "1" in the ability icon if placed on toolbar). On activation, enemies in a large radius from you must make a Will saving throw (DC 20 + character level +1/2 WIS mod) or be erased from multiverse. If they succeed at saving throw they could be paralyzed for 6 seconds (certain enemies are immune from this effect) and then take 1000 damage (Fortitude for half). Bosses take damage immediately.
  • Moving between some zones in quests or raids may reset the Perfect Peace counter, but does not reset a charged Epic Moment.
