Walkthrough

Fairly straight-forward quest. Break boxes to find patterns. In two rooms, you will have to use the training patterns to open the way to proceed. In the second room, there will be an explosion which trips you.

Talbron Tewn will help you while fighting and will hamper you while sneaking. He will follow you around, by teleport if necessary. Minor bug: Talbron will occasionally get stuck (one incident witnessed, likely due to a momentary loss of Internet connection), but not having him nearby doesn't seem to impede quest completion (he won't help/hamper, though).

The forge brothers are rogue-like Clanda, rogue-like Drex, barbarian-like Flint, artificer/warrior Gorrin, warrior-like Jaffer, wizard Myrog, sorcerer Talbron.

Fellsting can appear at various locations. Killing it awards a chest.

Tips and Misc

At the top of every 'stair well' there are pipes you can climb on (Jump 30 is fine) where the mobs can't reach you. Just gather and kill.

Two types of secret doors:

  • Easy-to-find (True Seeing is enough): in the training rooms (these are usually empty, though fallen comrades can spawn there)
  • Harder-to-find (True Seeing is not enough): access two trapped corridors which allow you to bypass a portion of the quest. If you use these shortcuts, you probably won't find all comrades (optional), although sometimes comrades can spawn in these passages. First door is behind the first rest shrine, to the right. Second door is behind the hatch exposed by the explosion in the second training room (DC 84 on EH). On Elite the search DC for the door behind the shrine is between 96 and 100. On Hard the search DC for both these doors is between 82 and 86. On Normal the search DC is higher than 71 (71 failed, success on 75).

Lots of metallic monsters, melee weapons can break here. Consider bringing multiple.

Once inside the Elite Training Chamber, you won't be able to retreat back to the Cannith Training Facility until the quest is finished, so be prepared.

During the final fight, Spotter Drones and Cannith Sentries will keep spawning.

Killing Gorrin will kill all remaining monsters as well (at least one exception witnessed: a lone Spotter Drone survived).
