Talk:Schenker

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

I think Schenker refers to Rudolf Schenker here, the guitar player of Germanys Metal Band The Scorpions, so its intended as a little joke

Sounds good. Consider adding this to Comedic References in DDO.--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 06:52, September 11, 2013 (EDT)
Sounds great. I don't listen to Metal music, so I don't know him. Plus, I've read that The Scorpions are much better known outside of Germany, especially in the U.S. ... Their only real German hit I know of was the song "Wind Of Change", because that was regarded as some kind of anthem to the Wiedervereinigung. I will remove my ancient "Trivia" remark into this "talk" page. The actual meaning of the word is still valid, however. Alrik (ContribsMessage) 03:58, October 6, 2019 (EDT)

Trivia[edit]

Trivia: The word "Schenker" means in German language "[male] giver of a present". The German verb "schenken" means "to give a present".
