Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to the Wiki! 132.204.26.100 11:32, October 27, 2006 (EDT)

I'm pretty sure that last post was actually Tihocan, our resident wiki administrator (-: -- anyway, ditto him, and welcome; and sure! we could use your info - have you see the DDO Information Project? [e] · t & c 14:23, October 27, 2006 (EDT)
The DDO Information Project link is a new page... typo? Crwth
Yup, DDO information project, as per our naming policy. And yes it was me, must have forgotten to login ;) Tihocan 09:45, October 30, 2006 (EST)

Wilderness Adventure Areas[edit]

Thanks for going to the trouble of getting all the information updated re: the 4.0/4.1 changes, you're an invaluable resource to this site d-: → Mr. Cable 15:37, May 31, 2007 (EDT)

My pleasure... I just wish I had kept better notes as I advanced in some of them, but will fill things in as I go. → Crwth

Sounds good. I know a lot of our admins used to use the wiki itself as a notepad while and/or inbetween playing sessions. If you want to do so, you can use a userspace subpage (like User:Crwth/Notes or something) to do so, without cluttering the main wiki. Another thing, is if you don't want to load the entire (somewhat bloated) wiki page to edit, you can use the sParser mode, there's a button on the sidebar for it - or you could just add ?useskin=sparseman to the page's URL, something like http://ddo.enterwiki.net/edit/User:Crwth/Notes?useskin=sparseman.

Also, just so you know, you can use four tildes (~~~~), instead of three as you seem to be, to sign your posts - that will add a timestamp as well d-:→ Mr. Cable 13:01, June 5, 2007 (EDT)

Your help is very appreciated. Thanks for making the Wilderness Areas so well updated, which the Quests were too...(so much work will have to go in these, and I'm not looking forward to it)

I thought about showing this to you: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=1251880#post1251880

Maybe you could help each other! :)→ Borror0 11:43, July 21, 2007 (EDT)

It looks like he's further ahead than I am! As for the quests, early on in playing DDO I kept track of the number of kills/traps/hiddens/smashables needed for each level of bonus, which might be handy for those like me who try to max each adventure. Time permitting I'll start filling in quests with what I have. Crwth 16:37, July 21, 2007 (EDT)
Well, steal his information! ;) I'll try to get him to update the wiki, that'd be cool.

I read you were taking a lots of notes, so that'd be cool. Quests need major reorganisation, I do't plan to work on those, they are pretty low on my list. However, if you decided to work on them. I'll help you of my best. :)→ Borror0 11:43, July 21, 2007 (EDT)

Collectible vs Collectable[edit]

Are you sure about this spelling? I checked the dictionary, and it marks collectable as a variant of collectible, not the other way around. As long as it's a legal spelling, and we keep one or the other standard across the wiki, then I don't really care which we use... have you checked how it's spelled in game? I think it'd probably be best to use the in-game spelling really... is that what is used?→ Mr. Cable 15:13, June 21, 2007 (EDT)

Yep, it's what's used in-game. If you could, the very top TOC has it misspelled, but I don't know where to change that. *:^) Crwth 15:15, June 21, 2007 (EDT)
K. Fixed the new top nav, it's at MediaWiki:Sitenotice, but it's only editable by admins ^^/ Mr. Cable 16:32, June 21, 2007 (EDT)

Administration[edit]

If you've read the front page, which I'm sure you have, I'm looking for a dedicated admin for DDO wiki, and you seem to enjoy editing... responsibilities is just to keep this site alive; talk about it / try to get people to edit it on/from the official forums, keep editing like you are, etc. As the front page said, you could have 70% of the advertising revenue (that's not much money, enough to pay for your DDO account probably, but that's about it at the moment) and pretty much free-reign control to do what you want here. I am mostly just not wanting this site to die due to lack of attention from me ^^/ Let me know what you think→ Mr. Cable 16:41, June 21, 2007 (EDT)

I'd love to, if I had time... I have a three-and-a-half-month old daughter at home, who eats into my DDO and development time. Here at work, though, I find it a nice break to add entries to the site. I hope you find someone, though!→ Crwth 10:57, June 22, 2007 (EDT)

K, sounds good d-:→ Mr. Cable 16:44, June 22, 2007 (EDT)

Just wanted to let you know I gave you superuser status at least, allows you a few extra rights (see Help:User_rights#Superusers). You might also want to leave a quick note on Borror's talk page, as he took the admin spot, and you two are currently the big editors - might as well collaborate a bit d-: elliottcable (talk, site) 00:29, July 9, 2007 (EDT)

Server Merge[edit]

Woah, thanks, saved me the trouble! :)→ Borror0 14:21, August 6, 2007 (EDT)

Had to stop for some breakfast. *:^) Crwth 15:43, August 6, 2007 (EDT)
